Ethiopia and the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) first joined forces to fight malaria in 2008. Over the years, Ethiopia worked alongside partners like the Global Fund and PMI to strengthen its national health system and step up malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment in every village and hamlet. Despite facing challenges like antimalarial drug and insecticide resistance, Ethiopia continues to transform health outcomes in their fight against malaria.
